This film presents a series of examples of how US and UK companies view Mexico's business opportunities:

How could we use these examples in our PII projects?

Some global executives would be surprised to learn that many employees in Mexico like to do their jobs in the presence of such religious images as the Virgin of Guadalupe. Their religious devotion in one example of how local culture affects the styles and practices of work in Latin America.1

These two authors argue that Latin American culture:

1 .- The Company Is Like a Family

2 .- The Importance of Social Status

3 .- Teamwork, Subcontracting and Geographical Mobility

4 .- Their Own Styles of Confrontation

Establishing solid, stable relations work requires personal contacts as well as friendly, social interaction. According to the study, "courtesy and diplomacy are highly valued in labor relations." Each Latin American country has its own confrontational style in times of conflict. "For example, Argentines prefer a style that Involves mediating between parties in a conflict. Dominicans prefer autocratic intermediaries. Mexicans like a style that Involves concern for others. "Beyond that," during times of conflict, Latin Americans Tend to identify with their 'in-group,' rather than the entire organization, Because they prefer social networks based on friendship. "

In other hand, business culture is so understand you care for the family and the Environmental, such as My Big Fat Greek Wedding movie, there is a lot of diference about how interacting with other nations, in the fact stablished relationship is so important for stay in the shoes of the other people and have some empaty.

I add some opinions about mexican commercial mision from US employments:

In my many visits to Mexico, where a previous company I worked for had many offices, I was always shocked by the poverty and passive nature of its citizens. I liked many aspects of the Mexican culture but strongly believed that the country will never have the prosperity of the United States, Canada or Western Europe.

Many people tell us that if only America would work with the Mexicans on their economy and send them billions of dollars in economic aide, their economy would boom and they would no longer need to send huge numbers of immigrants into America.

If only it were so easy. I see the main problem with Mexico is the Mexican Culture. People live for their families and live for the day. Education and infrastructure development are not considered that important. What can be done tommorrow will wait. Being on time is not that important or is efficency or a sense of urgency.

Mexico is a country that offers a wide range of incentives for foreign investment. This is because between emerging stronger. The advantages in terms of their productivity standards, labor force, geographic location, natural resources, free trade, among others make it extremely attractive for investment, but sadly some of their social environment variables and some of the political and tax variables make Mexico a country where you have to think twice to go off the install.

Violence and insecurity in Mexico have become the daily news in all news. Violence is installed in Mexico. It has many and varied ways of seeing. Robbery, kidnapping, rape, murder, etc.. Occur among networks of corruption and impunity. The government's fight against drug trafficking has made the system a degree of stress and struggle for the realignment of cartels in which murders occur daily and demonstrations that threaten the individual rights and guarantees most essential. In that scenario can hardly attract investment. Yet the Mexican government does not let up in its fight against crime and insecurity is not only costly for firms but discourages investment and inhibits employment.

Despite the disadvantages that result from insecurity, the advantages of Mexico compared to other economies place him in a good position to be presented as an option for foreign investors. The cases discussed are only examples and no doubt either organizations that come and settle in their territory or who operate from their own countries tells us the reality of global competition is getting stronger and the need to keep approach in this global competition to design the strategy of Mexican companies, particularly those of our projects. As companies become companies in the videos we should be visionaries and creative, skills essential that we develop and apply in everything we do in order to be more competitive in the global competitive environment and for the variables that we are not as favorable in the situation of country.

This discussion opens the door to many considerations, including that of Schumpeter who talks about "creative destruction" of the past required for new things to take their place. Also, Peter Drucker's concept of 'transformation' rather than just 'change.'

The missing critical element are the incentives to make the transformation required, and rather than just attack one part of the ecosystem and then another, look at it in a system (not systems) manner.

If we want to talk about mexican culture, this is a hard task that require a big consideration of characteristics about people who live in our country. Also is important to say that culture in a company that have a regional market, owners with not high educational level is totally different to a company that have constantly relationships with other countries and people who works there has a good educational level.

There is a general idea that Mexicans has some particular characteristics and in certain way this can be taken like culture features:

1. Mexicans have creativity.
2. In México the concept of family is more than very important.
3. Mexican have a particular interest in the party, to celebrate anything is important and maybe more important is the way how they want to celebrate it.

This are three positive characteristics of Mexican people but there are other negative characteristics:
1. Concept of punctuality is relative
2. In Mexico is easy to break laws and norms.

Every one of this characteristics have important effects in labor world, for example some companies could have only relatives of owners in important positions and not considerate person that have many abilities but is not in the family.
